A 1973 BBC series featuring seven films about there aspects of their past made by seven European countries. Out of all seven episodes produced for the series six of them are believed now to be lost with episode one being the only surviving episode that is known to exist.

There is a rivalry between the top part and the lower part of the village of Murcie because of water. Pancho, Maria del Carmen's fiancé, hurts Xavier, son of the rich Domingo, so he has to leave the country. Maria proposes to take care of Xavier in exchange for Pancho's freedom. Unfortunately, Xavier falls in love with her and Domingo forces her to marry his son. Pancho reappears, ready to defy Xavier, but the two overhear a conversation and learn that Xavier's days are numbered. So he asks Pancho to elope with Maria.

Teenager Ruslan takes care of the dying old man Tikhon, the village sorcerer who has been healing people all his life. Tikhon dies, and the local priest refuses to conduct the funeral service. Ruslan decides to fix it himself.

After founding the first foreign company in the city of Baku at the end of the 19th century, the Nobel brothers name was glorified; yet few people know about the deep connection of the Nobel Prizes with Baku’s oil.

A middle-aged man named Victor many years ago, he was forced to move to Italy to avoid persecution. Life is well established abroad: there is money, work is disputed, pasta carbonara, pizza abounds in mounds of parmesan. Despite this, Victor decides to return to Russia. The man had a wife and three children at home, who had grown inexcusably over the past 25 years, and his father was seen only in photographs from his mother's mezzanine. Victor's plan is as reliable as a Swiss watch: to establish relations with his offspring, to communicate with his wife and eliminate the man who caused the poor man's life to go downhill a quarter of a century ago. The family is discouraged by the sudden appearance of the priest. Sharp-tongued children do not accept him, but they quickly realize that daddy is rich, and each of them is awkwardly balancing on the verge of financial bankruptcy.

Heritage Minutes, also known officially as Historica Minutes: History by the Minute, are a series of sixty-second short films, each illustrating an important moment in Canadian history. They appear frequently on Canadian television and in cinemas before movies and are now also sold on DVD. The Minutes were first introduced on March 31, 1991 as part of a one-off heavily-promoted history quiz show hosted by Rex Murphy.The thirteen original short films were broken up and run between shows on CBC Television and CTV Network. The continued broadcast of the Minutes and the production of new ones was pioneered by Charles Bronfman's CRB Foundation, Canada Post Power Broadcasting, and the National Film Board. They were devised, developed and largely narrated by noted Canadian broadcaster Patrick Watson, while the producer of the series was Robert Guy Scully. In 2009 Historica merged with The Dominion Institute to become The Historica-Dominion Institute.While the foundations have not paid networks to air Minutes, they have made them freely available, and in the early years paid to have them run in cinemas across the country. The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission has ruled that Heritage Minutes are an "on-going dramatic series" thus each minute counts as ninety-seconds of a station's Canadian content requirements.
